Zurich in North America is a leading commercial property-casualty insurance provider serving the programs, global corporate, large corporate, middle market, small business, specialties and sectors. We have the following position available:
Commercial Underwriter with Marketing III
Under limited direction, underwrites and analyzes new and renewal business. Administers and monitors underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manuals. Underwrites and manages several specialized vehicles books of business.
•Handling underwriting referrals
•Monitoring Program performance
•Performing audits of Program Administrator underwriting files
•Development and maintenance of the agency relationship
•Identify training needs in the agency and provide training to agency personnel on Zurich underwriting guidelines and procedures
•Provide coverage analysis for internal and external personnel, including agents and claims adjusters

8 or more years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience to include a focus on commercial auto. Umbrella policies experience is a plus. Bachelors Degree desired.
Additional desired skills:
• Ability to manage and build rapport with team members.
• Excellent organizational, written, oral communication and presentation skills.
• Must have an advanced knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
• PC literate.
• Must have established Producer relationships.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
